tony,

thanks. i just downloaded the 2010 rules last night and began searching. it does look like H/D is the closest class for this car. unfortunately its a 198in chasis and with a 3.4L supra engine that puts us at 2030 min weight per cubic inch. thats gonna be hard to do. the last time this chasis was raced it had a 4cy and weighed 1160 w/o driver.

It's unsure if the car will ever go to any major events, thats at the discretion of the customer. however the closer we get it to an actual class and can prove it falls within the rulebook the less of a chance we have of getting any grief from local track officials.

Dustin,

While we originally planned on competing in NOPI's Pro Extreme Dragster and Comp Eliminators I-dragster, we built the car completely to NHRA's comp rules after NOPI stopped its series. For a 6 cylinder car I'd recommend building to NHRA's H-dragster rules and possibly talk to Brian Fitzpatrick, who has a 2GZ GTE powered dragster and is competing in H-Dragster.

Thanks,

Tony

hey, awesome dragster, we are building a 6cyl dragster right now...by what rules did you build or what class is the dragster built around. i know you run comp eliminator. just wondering what set of rules you followed most.
thanks,
